Music Selection

Searching Music Tracks

To find music tracks in Augie, use the search bar located at the top of the music selection panel. Simply type in keywords related to the music you are looking for, such as the track name, artist, or genre.

Keywords play a significant role in narrowing down the search results to help you find the most relevant tracks quickly. Be specific with the keywords you use to get the best matches for your video project.

Filtering Music Tracks

The Music Selection interface in Augie provides three filter options to help you find the perfect track for your video: Favorites, Genre, and BPM.

To activate and apply the Favorites filter, click on the Favorites button in the music selection panel. This will display only the tracks you have marked as favorites, making it easy to find tracks you prefer.

To use the Genre filter, click the Genre button. A pop-up will appear with various genre options such as 8-Bit, Acoustic, Alternative, and more. Select the desired genre to display tracks that match your choice.

For the BPM filter, click the BPM button. This will bring up a slider that allows you to set a desired beats per minute (BPM) range. Adjust the slider to specify the BPM range you are looking for, and only tracks within that range will be shown.

Applying these filters will impact your search results by narrowing down the list of tracks according to your selections, helping you find the most suitable music for your video project efficiently.

Previewing and Selecting Tracks

To preview a music track, locate the track you want to listen to in the list. Click the play button next to the track's name. The track will start to play, allowing you to hear how it sounds. You can pause the track by clicking the play button again.

To select and highlight a track, simply click on the track name. The selected track will be highlighted, indicating it is currently chosen. This helps you keep track of the music you intend to use for your video project.

When a track is selected, a waveform visualization appears below the list. The waveform shows the audio levels throughout the track, giving you a visual representation of its structure. You can use this to navigate and make adjustments to the track, such as trimming unwanted sections or adjusting the volume.

Music Adjustment

Adjusting Track Volume

To adjust the volume of a selected music track, you can use the Track Volume slider. This slider is located at the bottom of the music selection panel.

Make It Fit

Trimming tracks lets you adjust the music to match the length of your video. For example, if your video is shorter than the music track, trimming helps sync the ending for a smooth finish.

The Track Volume slider allows you to set the volume of the music track from 0% (muted) to 100% (full volume). Simply drag the slider left or right to decrease or increase the volume as needed.

Trimming Music Tracks

To trim a selected track using the waveform visualization, first, choose a music track from the list. Once selected, the waveform of the track will appear below the list of tracks.

To trim the track, click and drag the edges of the waveform to adjust the start and end points. The trimmed section represents the part of the music that will be used in your video.

Trimming a track allows you to use only the best parts of the music that fit the mood or scene of your video. It helps to keep the video engaging by avoiding unnecessary or irrelevant sections of the track.

By carefully selecting the start and end points of your music, you can better synchronize the audio with the video, enhancing the overall impact of your content.

Highlight Key Moments

Trim your track to focus on the best parts. This can make sure the music enhances key scenes, like a big reveal or emotional moment, making your video more engaging.

Music and Video Integration

Previewing Music with Video

To preview how a selected track fits with your video, look at the video preview area on the right side of the screen. This area will show your video along with the selected music track.

First, choose a music track from the list on the left. Once selected, the track will be highlighted. On the right, the video preview area updates to include the selected music track.

In the video preview area, you can see how the track works with your video by using the Preview button located above the preview. This feature allows you to watch your video with the music track, ensuring it matches the mood and timing you want.

  • Edit: Make changes to the video or selected music track.

  • Replace: Choose a different music track.

  • Generate: Create the final version of your video with the selected music.

Previewing the selected track with your video is important. It helps you ensure the music and video are in sync. This way, you can make any necessary adjustments before finalizing your project.
