Discover how to use the Script feature in Augie to create, edit, copy, and download scripts for your video projects. Learn about the interface elements and tools available to enhance your script editing experience.

Scripts in Augie

All video creation options accessed on Augie's video creation options page in Augie generate a script. You can learn more about our video creation options in our video options guide. Whether you write the script yourself or use our built-in AI scriptwriter, the script will be voiced by AI and used as the basis for your video. You can then edit your video using the tools available in our video editor.

Editing Tools

In the Script Editing Interface, you will find several tools to help you modify and enhance your script. These tools are accessible from the toolbar located at the top of the script editor section.

  • Edit Script: This icon allows you to edit your script. You can modify language, add/delete shots via the plus buttons on the left side menu when hovering over the script, and you can re-render the shots.

  • Correction Suggestions: Clicking this button will provide you with suggestions for correcting any errors in the text. The correction suggestions will appear in a dropdown menu, offering options to replace or modify specific words or phrases.

  • Copy: Use this button to copy the entire script transcript to the clipboard. When you click the copy button, it will highlight in purple and a tooltip will appear saying "Copy Transcript." A notification will confirm that the transcript has been copied.

  • Download: This button allows you to download the script transcript to your device. Clicking the download button will highlight it in purple, and a tooltip will appear that says "Download transcript." A notification will appear to confirm the download.

  • Paragraph Formatting: This icon provides options for structuring your script. You can adjust alignment, spacing, and other paragraph settings to improve the readability and flow of your text.

Each of these tools plays a role in helping you create a polished and professional script for your video projects. You can experiment with these tools to see what works best for your content.

Copying Script

To copy the script transcript, click the copy button in the toolbar above the script editor. The copy button will highlight in purple and a tooltip labeled 'Copy Transcript' will appear.

Once you click the copy button, the transcript will be copied to your clipboard. A notification saying 'Transcript copied to clipboard' will appear at the top right of the screen, confirming the action.

Downloading Script

To download the script transcript, locate the download button in the toolbar above the script editor. The button appears as a download icon and will highlight in purple once you hover over it.

When you hover the mouse over the download button, a tooltip will appear saying 'Download transcript.' Clicking this button will start the download process.

After clicking the download button, a notification will appear at the top right of the screen confirming that the transcript has been downloaded. This notification ensures that the action was successful.

Previewing Script

Full Script View

The full script view in the interface displays the entire script on the left side of the screen. The script editor has a black background and white text, with the current line highlighted in purple. Above the script section, there are icons for text formatting, correction suggestions, copy, download, and paragraph formatting.

On the right side of the screen, there is a preview pane that shows video frames corresponding to the script text. This allows you to see how the script will appear in the final video. Below the preview pane, there are additional video thumbnails.

A timeline is located below the video preview, which includes a play button and a timestamp. You can use the play button to preview the video in real-time. The timeline helps in navigating through various parts of the video.

The full script view displays your complete script alongside corresponding video frames. Use the timeline and play button to preview and make adjustments easily.

  • To edit the script text, use the text editor on the left side of the screen. Click the text formatting icon to make changes.

  • Click the copy button above the text area. It will highlight in purple and show a tooltip 'Copy Transcript.' A notification will confirm the action.
